Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) Policy

Welcome to HelpForDrivers.com (the “Site”). We fully respect the intellectual property rights of others and require our users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. §512(c), copyright owners or their authorized representatives may submit valid takedown requests through our designated DMCA Agent. As an online service provider, we comply with the DMCA’s “safe harbor” provisions.

Submitting a Notice of Infringement

If you believe your copyrighted work has been used on this Site without authorization, please provide a written notice containing the following information:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a representative authorized to act on their behalf.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed.
  3. Identification of the material alleged to be infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it (e.g., a specific URL).
  4. Contact details for the complaining party, including name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
  5. A statement confirming that you have a good faith belief the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information provided in the notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

Important: Under 17 U.S.C. §512(f), anyone who knowingly misrepresents information in a DMCA notification may be liable for damages, including costs and attorney’s fees.

Takedown notices should be sent through our Contact page or by email. Using email is strongly encouraged for faster processing.

By submitting a DMCA notice, you acknowledge and agree that we may forward your complaint (including your contact details) to the alleged infringer.

Submitting a Counter Notification

If you believe that material was removed in error or misidentification, you may send us a counter notification. It must include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the material removed and the location where it appeared prior to removal.
  3. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, address, and telephone number, along with a statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the federal district court in your judicial district (or if you are outside the United States, any judicial district in which the service provider may be found). You must also agree to accept service of process from the person or entity who submitted the original takedown notice.

Counter notifications should be submitted via our Contact page. Email submission is highly recommended for timely handling.

HelpForDrivers.com has a strict policy regarding repeat copyright violations. In accordance with the DMCA, we track infringement notices and reserve the right to terminate accounts of users who are found to be repeat infringers.
